a message from EDW

Asheville is a great place for beer. Home of numerous microbreweries, you can find something tasty and local at nearly every restaurant around town and at a good number of establishments throughout the state. If you've visited, you know what I'm talking about. Now it's time to put your taste buds where your computer is.
I's time to vote for Beer City USA. Asheville won last year and looks to keep the title in North Carolina. As the lone Southern tap, the Buncombe County seat needs your support.
Whether you dig Highland Gaelic Ale, Green Man Porter, Pisgah Vortex II (drool....), or some obscure home brew you sampled at a festival, it's Asheville all the way. Sure, some great cities appear on the ballot (I see you San Fran!), but let's help keep Beer City in the Old North State where it belongs. The Biltmore House thanks you. The Orange Peel thanks you. Sarah and I thank you.

Amendment from Sarah: Blog friends-- if you come to Asheville, we can meet in real life (as long as you're not a creeper) and get a beer (these photes are from Highland Brewing company back in the fall). We're fun people to have a beer with, I promise.
